The authority, the competitiveness of any bank is created by its staff members, by the level of their qualification and the quality of offering a high level service to the clients.

That’s why the staff members are considered to be one of the main assets of ASAKA Bank. The aggregate number of personnel that carry out their daily duty in the Head Office, 26 branches and 50 mini-banks make over 2000 people, whereby 1300 out of which are the managers and specialists in the banking sphere. 54% of workers make the age before 30, 53% are women, 40% have performance in banking over 5 years. More than 50% of staff besides Uzbek language speaks also Russian, English and other languages.

The number of workers has rises up as the network of mini-banks, cash-offices, exchange offices and branch subsidiaries have, that are intended for improvement of services, have expanded.
The main goal in conducting the staff policy of ASAKA Bank is providing it with the highly-qualified and reliable workers that stay loyal to the bank, who are able to assume the innovations, also can sustain an effective work result in the terms market relations.
The selection procedure for recruitment in ASAKA Bank is carries out in the few steps that contain Interview, than Testing. One of the crucial emphasizes during the selection process is made on the presence of higher economical education and on the practical experience.

The persons who have received their Diploma at Banking can be hired onto the starting specialist position. The main recourse for additional personnel in the Head Office is filled by means of recruiting the personnel from the branches, who have already gained the banking operational experience.
When recruiting, the priority is given to highly educated specialists with the abroad education. A number of employees have successfully accomplished the Master degrees in Universities of Europe and US. The Bank effectively uses their potential, and reliably entrusts the responsible parts. As one of its priorities in conducting the stuff policy, ASAKA Bank envisages the goal of raising the quality of the employees; the support and promoting to the leading positions, perfection of stimulation and motivation of employees, which are tightly linked with the results of their activity, creating the labor and rest conditions, that is necessary for effective work of the personal.

In 2004-2005 academic years 221 of bank employees have gained their degrees in the sphere of economics in learning by correspondence, which makes 1 out of 10 of the aggregate number, whereas the education of 101 employees’ is financed by the Bank.
The Leading managers and specialists are sent at the Bank expense to State Academy and Social Construction Institute under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, The Higher School of Business, Banking and Finance Academy for their further education. Thus, 7 Branch Managers and Heads of Departments have graduated from above mentioned higher schools and  gained Masters Degrees in the   “The Basis and Principals of Market Economy”, “Business Management” and others majors.
At present, there are 25 employees working in the bank among those who have graduated from the Banking and Finance Academy and hold the Master’s Degree in Banking. In the previous year 12 employees have been accepted.
Other categories of employees are encouraged to raise their qualification levels through attending weekly or 2-week courses that are held in the Tashkent Regional Banking Study Center, different seminars and courses at the Study Center of ASAKA Bank.
In 2004, 32 specialists from different branches had their probation periods in the Head office of the Bank.
For acquiring the up-to-day experience, new technologies and products, the specialists of the Bank are sent to different International seminars and meeting. Thus, such number has reached up to 52 employees in 2004, against 25 in 2003.

On the whole, during the year that ended 726 employees have improved their qualifications, that make the majority of all Branch Managers and specialists.
The younger specialists that acquire the most of experience will be promoted to the managerial positions. The structure of the reserve is annually ratified by the Board of the Bank. With persons who have been enrolled in the reserve, there are conducted additional training and interviews in the matters of increasing the business qualifications. 16 young and highly-qualified specialists were promoted to the positions of Deputy Head of the Branch and Deputy Head Accountant during the previous year.
There are being widely implemented the various possibilities for motivation, improvement of socio-domestic conditions, organization of rest and strengthening the health of the personnel.        

Most branches have modern offices at their disposals. There are given apartments to best workers of the Bank and to those who were invited to work in the Head Office. The personnel of the Head Office are taken home and back to work by Bus service provided by the bank.
The bank has its subsidiary divisions-comfortable health centers by the lake of Issik- kul (Kyrgyzstan Republic) and by the Tashkent Sea, also the complex in the city of Tashkent with the educational and health resort centers, hotel for guests of the bank. In winter time, during of each week-end there are given out the permits to the health center that is located in the mountain Chimgan (40 km from Tashkent). All of these services are granted to the Bank workers and members of their family on the preferential terms.
The Personnel of the ASAKA is tightly united by the tasks and is oriented to final results, always implements new technologies and products of banking activity, directs the spade-work to the prospective purchase of parts of the stock shares of the Bank to Foreign Investors.

Training Centre of Asaka Bank has been operating since 2000 and offers to the personnel of the Bank specialised courses in the following three main directions:
• Finance and banking
• IT management, computer software applications
• Foreign language courses
Since its foundation the Training Centre has acquired a solid experience in training banking personnel in the mentioned directions.

IT management and computer software courses are designed to provide listeners with basic principles of using banking operational system, professional utilisation skills with such PC applications as MS Windows, MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel), etc.

Foreign language courses are designed to improve language skills of the Bank's personnel by offering advanced foreign language courses.

Besides, Training Centre has a good experience for organisation of various types of seminars related to banking. Seminars are organised with attraction of professional lecturers and business leaders from both within the country and abroad.

Training Centre is equipped with its own library containing textbooks and other publications pertaining to above mentioned subjects with prevailing number of publications in the finance and banking fields.

Taking into account wide spectrum of offered courses in the banking field Training Centre sees its further expansion of its activity by attracting on a contract basis specialists of other banks, located in the other regions of the country that have not their own training facilities.

Bank also plans in the future to offer courses for its corporate clients in various aspects of banking.
